Kait's passion for dance and journey with bodywork go hand in hand.
Kait grew up dancing in Austin, Texas, training and competing in various styles to earn the title of Texas Solo Dance Champion. Traveling and connecting with larger communities and cultures through dance and movement has inspired Kait throughout her career; she has studied with internationally recognized groups like the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes in New York City and the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen, as well as esteemed choreographers Juliano Nunes, Florian Lochner, and Alice Klock at Orsolina28 in Italy. She studied dance at the collegiate level, and graduated with her BFA degree in Dance as well as two minors from the California Institute of the Arts. Kait earned her minors in Anatomy and Humanities, and the knowledge that she gained from this experience cumulates into the work she does within her community.
Kait has enjoyed continuing her education by earning a certificate in Applied Stretching Theory and Practice, becoming a certified Pilates Mat Instructor, and studying Corrective Exercise through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She has nearly a decade of experience as a dance instructor, and three years of experience teaching Mat Pilates. She is known throughout the valleys of Los Angeles for her restorative bodywork sessions and dedicates her spare time to healing through assisted PNF stretching, myofascial release, and intuitive bodywork.
Kait toured with Los Angeles Choreographers and Dancers and has performed at venues including:
The Jazz @ Lincoln Center
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City
REDCAT DTLA
Los Angeles Dance Project
Hauser & Wirth
Ivy Substation
Madrid Theatre
Sharon Lund Disney Theater in Los Angeles
Orsolina28 in Italy
Kait earned the title of Texas Solo Dance Champion with her self-choreographed solos, has choreographed several award-winning competitive dance numbers, and her choreography was featured at the San Pedro Festival of the Arts in 2022.
Kait's dance career has flourished as a result of her dedication to collaboration and sustainable dance practices. She now owns and operates Heartbeat House, a dance studio in Los Angeles that offers a wide variety of inclusive classes for all ages and abilities. Kait has recently introduced a Wellness Program at Heartbeat House that features specialized one-on-one offerings, weekly wellness workshops, dance meditation workshops, and monthly popups with MVMT WORX as well as local artists and vendors.
